This was distilled at the Tamdhu distillery in December 1989. It was
aged for 21 years in a single sherry hogshead before bottling in
November 2011 at natural cask strength for Douglas Laing’s premium Old
and Rare Platinum range.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Dark chocolate and rich berry compote. Notes of cordite, Serrano ham and roasted chestnuts.
Palate: Sherried and rich, notes of plum brandy, butterscotch, star anise and black pepper.
Finish: Medium-length with notes of aniseed, pepper and toasted barley.
